THE JOB

King Creative Group (KCG) is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own all marketing and distribution operations for a renown and fast growing Hip Hop record label. The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in, and knowledge of, the music industry and must have a strong track record demonstrating creative ideation of successful marketing and music distribution campaigns. This role also requires being able to successfully guide and aid multiple, critical production timelines for various creative projects from concept to release day while adhering to set budgets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee, manage, and deliver album, single, EP and video assets and marketing materials to all the relevant teams both internal and external, while monitoring and enforcing strict deadlines.

  • Liaise with artist management on a regular basis and communicate label plans and expectations for music-related project progress to collaborators and partners.

  • Act as day-to-day project lead on assigned releases, leveraging internal and external resources to ensure projects receive the appropriate level of overall marketing support from all departments that is needed to effectively drive success.

  • Create and execute ideas to engage DSPs to plan and execute all aspects of marketing and promotional campaigns for upcoming releases alongside internal marketing team and partners.

  • Participate in near and long term creative planning to ensure a clear and consistent message for assigned projects while acting as a central point of contact and lead for all assigned projects.

  • Manage music-related marketing schedules, assets, and overall project organization to ensure requirements and project delivery dates are clearly communicated, understood, executed and delivered upon the whole team

  • Create, present, track, and re-allocate marketing and promotion budgets internally.

  • Lead the creation, development, and execution of marketing strategies, ad campaigns, marketing initiatives, tour planning, viral and energy campaigns

The right candidate must have strong project management skills; be able to consistently perform crucial business analysis; have the ability to execute creative, highly-effective marketing strategies; be an excellent, effective communicator; possess knowledge of various tech platforms and must be a willing collaborator with internal and external team members. 

Qualifications:

  • A passion for being at the forefront of the new wave of music companies, music technologies, and culture; reveling in the challenge of pushing the boundaries.

  • Music fan with broad knowledge of music and well versed on upcoming and unsigned artists.

  • A driven individual, with the ability to inspire a team and move each campaign forward smartly, creatively, effectively, and assertively.

  • Exceptional organizational, communication and negotiation skills.

  • Good proven contacts within the music industry.

  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure and work to a tight deadline.

  • Bachelor’s Degree desired.

  • 5+ years of experience in music, marketing and/or project management.

  • Must be adept at using Google Docs and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint to create multiple artist schedules and budgets
