THE JOB
King Creative Group (KCG) is seeking an Atlanta-based A&R intern. This role is available within a strategic entertainment management company or a fast growing record label.This role provides the opportunity to work creatively, strategically and operationally with artists, managers, A&R’s and other music industry stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
Research unsigned writers’, artists’ and producers’ information including affiliations, contact information and potential cases that may be available.
Assist with weekly research reports focused on current charts, trends etc. including but not limited to sourcing through Billboard, Shazam and Spotify data.
Use Spotify, TikTok, and Instagram data to identify emerging artists
Review Billboard charts and major album releases for unsigned writers.
Support the entire label and/or artists management team in day-to-day A&R admin and creative operations.
ABOUT YOU
Who You Are:
Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college/university
Strong analytical skills.
Comfortable and skilled in both written and verbal communication.
Has an interest and basic understanding of the music business.
Knowledgeable of the emerging artists.
Skilled in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, and experienced in collecting, organizing, and manipulating large sets of data.
Confident carrying out projects from start to finish and providing valuable results.
Self-starter and diligent follow-up with supervisor.
