THE JOB
King Creative Group (KCG) is seeking a Manager for Event Programming who will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and execution of large-scale, complex events. The Manager- Events Programming will manage all aspects of an event life cycle from conception to execution, including creating run of shows, event plans, communicating with other team members and vendors, securing necessary permits, and coordinating with other internal and external teams. You will find success in this role by consistently ensuring a smooth event life cycle and executing world class events.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct event site research, provide recommendations based on cost, convenience, logistics, and other factors.
Coordinate logistics including event space, agenda planning, meeting room sets, equipment and labor, menu selection, speaker coordination, sponsorship management, decor, signage, collateral, and transportation.
Facilitate vendor negotiations, contracts and manage vendors throughout the planning process.
Develop accurate event budget forecasts and execute budget tracking and reconciliation for events.
Manages database and registration process, including on‐site registrations, to assure accurate registration data, name badges, fee collection, counts for specific events, etc.
Attends events and provides on‐site management and support.
Manage post-event reconciliation, reporting, and debrief process.
Monitors promotional schedule and registration goals for events, working with marketing staff to ensure effective, timely promotion.
Maintain industry knowledge and stay current on industry trends, providing clients with innovative ideas and creative event solutions.

You are a hard-working, client service-oriented events professional, who has proven success managing all aspects of high-touch, complex events from conception to completion.
Qualifications:
5+ year’s experience working directly in conference planning or special events.
Experience developing and managing budgets for conferences/events.
Experience working with production companies to successfully implement all event production needs.
Has successfully implemented and executed all aspects of the planning process and logistics for 1,000+ attendee in-person and virtual events.
Proficiency in online registration platforms.
Excellent organization and planning skills to consistently meet tight deadlines and prioritizes work based on immediate need and impact to the business.
Strong problem solving and project “ownership” skills.
Outstanding attention to detail.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Emotional intelligence and poise to thrive in a fast-paced, high-visibility fluid environment.
Results-focused, with the desire and ability to continually improve processes and department.
